As we launch a series of “new beginnings” at the Art of Life Cancer Foundation, we unveil the official logo of our 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
We are grateful to Ron Nikkel and his team at Five Creative Group, Inc. who brilliantly captured the spirit of who we are, our values, and mission.
The vibrant icon on the left of the text spotlights the resemblance of a person leaping forward in life, arms to the sky in a posture of freedom. Every person may view this logo differently, similar to interpreting art and the unique qualities of each person’s own cancer journey.
The Art of Life programs highlight creative expression through different forms of art, music, dance, and now gardening. However, the activity is not as important as the outcome and the attention to the inner human being supersedes, involving the body, mind, and spirit.
The swift, upward leaping leg etches the shape of a smile, reminding us of how powerful joy and laughter can be when it overflows from sharing, connect, and finding hope (even amidst life’s most difficult circumstances).
One must look closely to see the illusion of the cancer ribbon, made by the raised arms and leaping legs. This posture urges everyone to embrace their story and let it overflow to impact others along the way. Only a portion of the body is actually seen because cancer may be a part of your life, but it does not define you.
The plumb represents the heart and strength that shine through when facing cancer and the sky blue offers a steady reminder of peace and renewal.
When you see the Art of Life Cancer Foundation logo we hope you identify with this symbol, knowing that you can press on, embracing all that life brings when you come to appreciate the art of life.
